The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notice to the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) on a plea challenging the new criteria for trial for the Asian Para Games 2023 to be held in China in October.
The bench of Justice Subramonium Prasad on Friday said the court will pronounce tomorrow (Saturday) the judgement as the trials come to an end on Sunday.
This comes after Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia were given direct entries for the Hangzhou Asian Games by the Indian Olympic Association’s ad-hoc committee on Tuesday while other wrestlers will have to book their places in the Indian squad through selection trials on July 22 and 23.
