Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested three terror associates linked with banned terror outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), from the Natipora area of Srinagar.
The raids are still underway against newly floated offshoots of proscribed Pakistan-backed banned terrorist outfits operating in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
The reward has been announced in the case RC-32/2021/NIA/DLI registered against Basit Ahmed Dar, a resident of Redwani Payeen, Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir.
Some of these newly-floated outfits, The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow organisation of Lashkar-e-Taiba, have been found issuing threats of carrying out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir K over social media, the NIA said.
According to the release, the Pakistan-based terrorist, Almas Rizwan Khan son of Late Mohd Anwar Khan originally a resident of Diver Lolab, has been a persistent threat to peace and security of UT of Jammu and Kashmir since the time he exfiltrated to Pakistan in the early 1990s.
Faisal Muneer alias Ali Bhai, a resident of Talab Khatikan in Jammu and Kashmir, has been named in the chargesheet for conspiring with Pakistan-based operatives of LeT and TRF for the transportation of firearms and explosives for carrying out terrorist acts in India.
These four organizations are -- The Resistance Front (TRF), Peoples Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF) and Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).
According to Kashmir Zone Police, the terrorist identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat, worked for The Resistance Front (TRF). He was earlier associated with Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terror outfit.
Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday declared The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba proscribed terror outfit and all its manifestations and front organisations as terrorist organizations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967.
