The ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Delhi Police Crime Branch, has dismantled a major drug syndicate, arresting a key operative and seizing heroin worth over Rs 50 lakh in the illicit market, the officials said on Thursday.
"I've directed the administration to facilitate traffic between Srinagar & Jammu allowing tourist vehicles to leave. This will have to be done in a controlled & organised way because the road is still unstable in places," Abdullah posted on X.
The DGP has ordered close monitoring of rail, road, and air traffic in view of any suspicious foreign activity. Security has been tightened in areas bordering Nepal, as well as at bus and railway stations.
