West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said that Poila Boishakh, the auspicious day of the Bengali New Year, will be officially observed as the state's Foundation Day.
"They do anything required to ensure that no BJP candidate can file nomination…they not only threaten BJP workers but also the voters. Contracts are given out to capture booths...This is their way of doing politics in the state," the prime minister said.
"We would like to tell the people of Bengal that your fund has been stopped by the BJP intentionally. Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari said the central government sends funds; I challenge them to come and discuss this topic," said TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.
"We are witnessing violence in Manipur, where people are not being able to come out of their homes. The BJP government has pitted the communities in Manipur against each other, which has led to these riots," she said.

Launching a scathing attack at the Congress, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that the grand old party is seeking Trinamool Congress' support in the Parliament but is joining hands with the Left in the State.
In his letter, MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury mentioned that a reign of terror has been created in the area with a view to preventing the candidates from filing their nominations for the upcoming West Bengal Panchayat elections in Domkal Block.
