Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko on Saturday sought the central government's intervention to ensure that Tamil Nadu gets its due share of the Cauvery water from neighbouring Karnataka.
“If the river starts and stops within that state, they can take the water. But if it starts from that one area and flows through other states, the water has to be divided," he added.
