Counting of votes for the Tripura Assembly elections began on Thursday morning at 21 counting centres amid tight security and in the presence of the Election Commission of India-appointed observers across the state.
According to the Election Commission, the counting in all 13 centres will commence at 8 am on Thursday. The counting will initially begin with Postal ballot Count for the first 30 minutes followed by the counting of polled votes in the EVM Control Units.

A voter turnout of 60.51 per cent was recorded in Nagaland till 1 pm as the polling began amid tight security today, informed Election Commission of India.
A voter turnout of 31.92 per cent was recorded in West Bengal's Sagardighi till 11 am as the polling began amid tight security today, informed Election Commission of India.
Over 38.68 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Nagaland till 11 am, as polling began amid tight security on Monday, the Election Commission informed.
A voter turnout of 15.76 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Nagaland till 9 am as the polling began amid tight security today, informed Election Commission of India.
