Welcoming Prime Minister Albanese and his delegation, the President said that India and Australia enjoy a very friendly relationship. She expressed confidence that his visit would instil greater momentum in India-Australia ties.
Shedding light on the bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Friday said that PM Albanese's visit to India underlines his enthusiasm and commitment to India-Australia ties.

Albanese announced that Australia will host Exercise Malabar for the first time. He further said that India will also participate in Australia's 'Talisman Sabre' exercise for the first time in August.
The troops visited the Agra-based Shatrujeet Brigade as part of General Rawat Australia-India Young Defence Officers' Exchange Programme instituted in honour of India's first Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat.
The talks between S Jaishankar and Gina Raimondo covered strategic trade, resilient and reliable supply chains as well as trust and transparency in the digital domain.
