Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a community event in Vienna on Wednesday (local time) and thanked Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer for his warm welcome adding that he also stated that this wait has ended on a historic occasion marking the 75 years of their friendship.
"Today, we have been talking about an even stronger commitment and about the possibilities of reviving the peace process. PM Modi and myself discussed the unique position of India in the so-called Global South," the Austrian Chancellor said.

The Russian Embassy on Wednesday clarified its stance on the recruitment of Indian nationals for the Russian Army and said that Moscow is on the same page as New Delhi on this issue.

While addressing a press briefing, Karine Jean-Pierre called India the US' "strategic partner" with whom they hold "full and frank dialogue", including their ties with Russia.
