After reports of a crackdown on Covid protests throughout China, Tibetans living in exile have expressed solidarity with the Chinese people, who are under strict coronavirus rules since the start of the pandemic.
In keeping with tradition, the Nyingma sect has identified a four-and-a-half-year-old boy from Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal Pradesh as the reincarnation of Tibetan Lama late Taklung Setrung Rinpoche.
