The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 kmph), for the next 48 hours in Hyderabad. Mist or hazy conditions are also likely to prevail during the morning and night hours
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, accompanied by thundershowers and lightning, in multiple districts of Uttarakhand over the next 24 hours.
"There is a risk of light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the next two days, after another period of very light to light rain is anticipated in the early hours of Sunday," as per the Met Department.
A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in some districts of Uttarakhand on Tuesday, according to the Indian Meterological Department (IMD). There is a possibility of lightning and thundershowers in other districts.
The rainfall brought down temperatures marginally, offering some respite to residents. As per IMD, Karnal recorded a maximum temperature of 32°C on Saturday (June 28), which fell to 27°C on Sunday morning following the rain.
Shobhit Katiyar, Senior Scientist, IMD Himachal Pradesh says, "In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain has been observed at many places in Himachal. In the last 24 hours, thundershowers have also been recorded at some places. No heat wave conditions have been recorded anywhere."
