As Al Jazeera was pulled off air in Israel on Sunday, the police, too, seized the news network's broadcasting equipment from its Jerusalem offices on Sunday afternoon, according to The Times of Israel.
During what the police called a "targeted operation" that lasted over 12 hours, the forces closed in on the building and the terrorist squad opened fire on them.
Confirming the fatalities, the police stated that the deceased were identified as three-year-old Farzana, four-year-old Aqsa, five-year-old Rukhsana, eight-year-old Muskan, and their 34-year-old mother Muskan.
"The Crime Branch received information that Avneesh, accused of firing on a youth in the Harsh Vihar area, was about to reach near Ghazipur Paper Market. Thereafter, the team set a vehicle trap," said the police.
According to the police, scurrilous communication has been circulated on various social media platforms (WhatsApp, etc) with baseless, scandalous, and derogatory allegations aimed at harming the reputation and integrity of officers.
