Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the Deepotsav Milan in Ayodhya's Karsevakpuram, saying that over the past nine years, the celebration of Deepotsav has given Ayodhya a new global identity.
JD(S) MLA Swaroop Prakash condemned the incident, saying, "The district administration disrespected Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy when he visited the temple... they completely neglected him. So all the party workers are going for the protest."

A grand Deepotsav will be organised at Badrinath and Kedarnath dham on the occasion of Diwali, said Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Hemant Dwivedi. The temples are being splendidly decorated with flowers.
Kumaraswamy's comments followed the state minister Priyank Kharge's demand for a ban on RSS activities in government schools, colleges, and state-owned temples. He said that permissions should not be granted for activities outside the syllabus in government schools and colleges.
Gomati District Majistrate and Collector, Rinku Lather, told ANI that the grand event has been jointly organised by the Trust Mela Committee and the Gomati District Administration, with participation from dignitaries, priests, and thousands of devotees.
