General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai gave an 'Akshat' invitation to locals in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya to celebrate the consecration of the Ram temple on January 22.
Voting to decide the idol of Lord Ram Lalla, which will be installed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple next month, is to be held on Friday, sources said.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust entrusted with the construction and management of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, is scheduled to hold a meeting here on Thursday.
Ahead of the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the general secretary of Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, Champat, Rai on Saturday said the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the shrine would mark the restoration of India's honour.
"January 22, 2024, is as important as August 15, 1947; it is equally important as getting Kargil back, and as much as the detention of one lakh soldiers was important in 1971," Rai told ANI.
"It has come to light that BJD leader VK Pandian along with YouTuber Kamiya Jani made a video on tasting of 'Mahaprasad' at Puri Jagannath temple. Earlier, Kamiya Jani posted a video eating beef. Beef-eaters are strictly not allowed inside Jagannath temple," the BJP leader said.
BJP stalwarts, former deputy prime minister LK Advani and Union minister Murli Manohar Joshi, won't attend the grand consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya next month, the temple trust informed on Monday.
