The deteriorating air quality of Delhi witnessed a significant improvement after the winter rain showered the capital city, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 151, in the "moderate" category at 7 am on Sunday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The national capital experienced a few spells of light to moderate rain at many places, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph during the early morning hours on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The change in weather comes after heavy downpours in Uttar Pradesh with the maximum temperature forecasted to reach 22 degrees Celsius on Sunday in Kanpur while the minimum temperature will plummet to 10 degrees Celsius.
