Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday launched a sharp attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar following the recent Cabinet expansion, stating that the people of Bihar don't want a "Khatara Gaadi" (outdated vehicle) in the state but want a "newer one."
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal criticizes Tejashwi Yadav for opposing reservation provisions and condemns him for his association with the fodder scam.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of stealing reservations in the state. He said that 65 percent reservations given by RJD were not included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution led by the BJP-NDA Central Government.
Speaking to ANI on Tejashwi Yadav's statement, Kumar said, "There is a difference in the views of Lalu Prasad Ji and Tejashwi Yadav, which is natural as the father is politically sidelined and has passed the baton to his son," Kumar said.
Tejashwi Yadav took aim at PM Modi's Bihar visit, highlighting the government's inability to address the state's issues. He points to the worsening conditions for farmers, unemployment, and poverty, accusing the PM of misleading the people of Bihar.
Yadav questioned the PM's contributions to Bihar, highlighting the fact that Patna University was not granted Central University status despite 11 years in power. He expressed scepticism about the government's commitment to the state's development.
On PM Modi's visit to Bhagalpur, Tejashwi Yadav took a jibe at NDA, saying, "Every day someone will come now. Delhi election has ended and everyone will come to Bihar. They don't care about the people of Bihar. They only care about power."
The race for the Chief Minister post in Bihar has begun. This time, it seems to be centred around the fitness of the chiefs of both leading parties--Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal.
Tejashwi Yadav on Friday criticised the BJP, alleging that it lacks coordination within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and has neglected the people of Bihar and the state's core issues.
Highlighting Bihar's lag in literacy, per capita income, and farmers' income, Yadav pointed out that despite the NDA being in power for 11 years at the Centre and 20 years in Bihar, it has failed to fulfil its promises.
