Air Vistara, whose flight UK 781 from Delhi to Bhubaneswar had to return back following a hydraulic failure has issued an official statement on the matter pointing at a technical snag which forced the aircraft to return.
Amidst the increasing air incidents in the country, the Minister of State for Aviation Gen VK Singh (Retd) in a written reply at Parliament on Friday said there have been a total of 2,613 air incidents reported due to technical snags in five years in which IndiGo Airlines topped the list.
"AI 581, operating on the Mumbai Calicut sector, came back at 6.25 am after pushback at 6.13 am owing to a technical issue. After engineering checks, the flight is now ready for take-off," the Air India spokesperson said.
