The Delhi High Court on Wednesday reserved its order on the bail plea of Tasleem Ahmed, who is an accused in the larger Conspiracy of Delhi riots 2020 case. He has sought bail on several grounds, including delay in trial and long incarceration in custody.

Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Monday directed the police to file a response regarding the interim bail plea of accused Tasleem Ahmed in the larger conspiracy case related to the Delhi riots.
The attack, carried out by terrorists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, is one of the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked Delhi Police to file a note on the role of accused Tasleem Ahmed. He is accused in the larger Conspiracy of the Delhi riots and sought regular bail.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday listed the bail plea of Tasleem Ahmed before the roster bench for hearing. Earlier, a special bench was hearing the bail plea along with pleas of other accused in the larger conspiracy case of the Delhi riots in 2020.
"I think that the country is now occupied by the Jamaat-e-Islami jihadi and militant groups and they have been destroying the history of Bangladesh. They destroyed the sculptures of all freedom fighters, and they destroyed the museums of the liberation war in 1971," Nasreen said.
This comes after a group of madrasa students on Monday had attacked a stall at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair in Dhaka over the display of book written by Taslima Nasreen, who is in exile in India as per police and eyewitness' accounts.
"A group of agitators came to Sabyasachi Prakashani and started shouting first why Taslima Nasreen's book was kept in the stall. Later Publisher Shatabdi Bhava was attacked by the people. They threw away Taslima's book", a witness said.
The Kashmiri activist highlighted, "While Pakistan parades as a champion of Kashmiri rights, it actively sponsors terrorism, fuels violence, and destabilises the region. Pakistani-backed terror groups continue to spread fear, targeting innocent civilians, women, and children."
