Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs, P Kumaran, said on Saturday that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, during his talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed interest in the Indian UPI payments system.
Kumaran, while speaking at the Special Briefing by MEA on State visit of President of Brazil to India, said that while talking on the critical minerals, Silva said he would value India's partnership in the area of critical minerals.
"I am not involved in the negotiations; I have a responsibility. I am confident that they will carry out the negotiations on my behalf. I cannot say how many constituencies we will ask for. We will announce it at the appropriate time," Hassan said.
