Amid reports that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may switch sides by pulling his party JD(U) out of the 'mahagathbandhan' in Bihar, BJP MP Radha Mohan Das Agrawal said that the INDI alliance will break in Maharashtra too.
"Hon'ble Congress President has appointed Shri Bhupesh Baghel as Senior Observer to coordinate Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and other party activities in Bihar with immediate effect," a press release issued by party General Secretary KC Venugopal read.
All eyes are set on the Bihar Chief Minister's activities as speculations that Nitish Kumar may cross over to the NDA again grow rife. Kumar had left the NDA in 2022 to join hands with the opposition and form the 'Mahagathbandhan'.
"We will form government in Bihar in 2025. People of Bihar will vote for BJP in Lok Sabha in 2024, and in Bihar in 2025. I am just observing what's going on in the state..." Singh said.
"All this is a rumour. And the restlessness which has arisen due to this rumour can only be taken care of by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. I have not received any response from him yet," Manoj Jha said speaking to ANI on Saturday.
Though the event is of the state's Disaster Managment Department, which is headed by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, only Kumar was seen present at the event.
Amid speculations in Bihar whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will switch to the BJP, Janata Dal-United (JDU) leader Neeraj Kumar on Saturday queried how anybody could "target" the party which has "the arrow in its own hand."
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar, who switched back to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) after a short stint in Congress, said that he does not have any complaints against his former party colleagues.
