Joint search operation by Army and police is underway in the outskirts of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir after suspicious movement was noticed, officials said.
On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, a suspicious movement of aerial objects was reported on LoC in Rajouri's Beri Pattan area after which a cordon and search operation was launched and the movement of a drone was tracked, said a statement by Defence Public Relation Officer.
According to the statement, on the intervening night of April 8-9, Army troops posted on the LoC, in the Poonch sector of Jammu & Kashmir, detected suspicious movements of some individuals.

A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched to search the area. Some speculative shots were also fired during the operation, officials said.
