A Jhajjar Court in Haryana refused to grant custody of Olympic wrestler Sushil Kumar to the State Police in an Arms Act case. The Haryana Police were seeking his custody in connection with an FIR lodged at the Sadar Police Station in Jhajjar, Haryana.
The matter arises out of complaint filed by Sushil Verma, former Member of Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, which was considered by the bench of the Commission headed by Priyank Kanoongo, member NHRC on 12.12.2025, an official statement said.
