Talking up the BJP's prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state, party MLA Suryabanshi Suraj on Thursday said it will fare much better that how it is being projected in opinion polls.
Speaking to ANI, Suraj said that Kejriwal who was served with the fresh summon by the ED on Sunday is "setting the wrong precedent" to skip the past summons.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Suryabanshi Suraj has alleged that a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra vehicle, meant to showcase the success of the Central government's schemes, was vandalised in Odisha's Dhamnagar by the workers of the ruling Biju Janata Dal.
"PM Modi has started it with the motive to reach poor people. When this program was going on in my constituency hundreds of people were gathered. It was a government program, at that time 5-6 workers of BJD damaged the cutouts of PM Modi and vandalised the vehicle," MLA Suraj told ANI.
According to Election Commission, with 80,351 votes, Suraj got 49.09 per cent of the total votes. Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Abanti Das came second with 43.05 per cent of the votes.
