Referring to the registration of a case by the BJP against NCP leader Jitendra Awhad for his remarks on Ram Navami, NCP leader and member of parliament from Baramati in Pune district Supriya Sule on Sunday said it is an attack on freedom of speech and she would raise it in Parliament.
"There is nothing wrong to have ambition or a dream in politics everybody has it, so I don't think there is anything wrong with saying openly about it. In fact, he is very honest in talking about his ambition," NCP leader Supriya Sule told ANI.
"The incident is very unfortunate. After coming here, the police informed me that the incident took place due to brake failure. We will wait for the investigation," NCP MP Sule said.
While addressing a party organizational meeting, Supriya Sule said, "Govt should answer on what exactly happened in Kharghar during the Maharashtra Bhushan ceremony".
"We ask children to watch tv and news channel to increase their general knowledge but the way crime (Atiq Ahmed's death) was shown live on national television was horrifying for children and women," NCP MP Sule said.
