Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday moved Supreme Court for bail in CBI and ED cases related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy case.
Petitioners wrote a letter to the Registrar of the Supreme Court stating that the case was listed before apex court on May 19, 2023, when it had deferred the implementation of the directions till July 6, 2023.
The Supreme Court on Thursday sentenced life imprisonment without remission to four convicts in the 1996 Lajpat Nagar blast case and said that expeditious trial of such cases is the need of the hour, especially when it concerns national security and the common man.
