West Bengal assembly Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday blamed the West Bengal government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the cancellation of 25,000 teachers' jobs in the state.
It asked the Chief Secretary to respond to the queries of the court including to explain what was the "compelling urgency" to undertake developmental activities including the removal of trees from the forest area.
The said allegations were made by one Mukesh Singh who appeared as party-in-person and alleged that litigations over environmental issues such as banning firecrackers is nothing but a conspiracy brewed by foreign agencies.
