As the much anticipated G20 Summit kick-started with global leaders being welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the venue, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that it has been a successful presidency of G20 for India under the leader of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting between the two leaders comes on the sidelines of the G20 Summit which is being hosted under India's G20 Presidency at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan.
Responding to this, the Ministry of Home Affairs posted on 'X', "In a news report, Chief Minister Chhattisgarh has expressed his inability to participate in G20 Dinner at Leaders’ Summit at Delhi on 9 Sept 2023 due to air restrictions in and around Delhi".
"In a news report, the Rajasthan Chief Minister has claimed denial of approval for his helicopter flight by the MHA. Four requests were received from CM Rajasthan for flight permissions, including for Sikar, and all were approved by the MHA”, the MHA posted on X.
The G20 Summit has given an opportunity to the Kullvi Whims, a private organisation of heritage village Naggar of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh to showcase their handloom art at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Biden arrived in India on Friday for the G20 Summit and was received at the airport by Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation Gen VK Singh (retd).

The departure of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to the G-20 Summit, hosted in India, reflects the nation's commitment to engaging with global leaders on pressing issues.
“There is a strategic and sufficient deployment (of police). The situation is peaceful and under control. We will continue to maintain this," police said.
