A joint team of security personnel arrested four Naxals, including a cadre carrying cash reward, in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Monday.
There are several police personnel undertaking their social responsibility and in the same direction, police personnel have established a school 'Police Ki Pathshala', wherein they teach students in their free time.
In a major breakthrough, a joint team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and District Force (DF) arrested a Naxal couple carrying a cash reward of their head in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Sukma district following an encounter, a police officer said.
The incident took place between Jagargunda and Kunded under Jagargunda police station limits at around 9 am on Saturday, said Bastar Range Inspector General of Police (IG) P Sundarraj.
Disappointed by the hollow ideology of the banned outlawed organisation, the member of company-1 under the Mad division of the Naxals identified as Dirdo Mada, said Sukma Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Sharma.
All the 34 Naxals surrendered themselves before Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Chhattisgarh Police forces at different locations in Sukma on Tuesday.
Budhra who had a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, had joined the Maoists in 2018 and was involved in several Maoist activities in the Chintagupha and Chintalnar districts of Chhattisgarh.
"All the seven apprehended were Nimmalagudem's Revolutionary People's Council (RPC) militia members of the banned Communist Party of India (CPI) Maoist Party," the CRPF said in a statement.
Troops of CoBRA CRPF and STF have been deployed at the security force camp in the Naxal-affected village Potkapalli of Sukma district. They helped the pregnant woman after she experienced labor pain.
The accused were identified as Rajendra Rajput, Devanand Kalipad, Dhanveer - all residents of Sukma, Sahdu Ram - a resident of Koyalibeda, and his wife Dasri - a resident of Kurusbodi.
