He criticised the BJP for walking out of the meeting midway, terming the move highly condemnable. "It appeared the BJP was not willing to stand for the rights of the State and had attended the meeting only under public pressure before leaving it midway," he said.
The meeting was called following the 16th Finance Commission's reported decision to discontinue the Revenue Deficit Grant to certain states, including Himachal Pradesh.
The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Thursday, asserted that the discontinuation of the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) will not hamper developmental activities in the state.
