The State Disaster Response force (STRF) continuously working in Haridwar district for the rescue of people stranded in the submerged houses in flooded areas of Haridwar, has rescued a pregnant woman from Laksar town in Uttarakhand.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said that people in Haryana are not narrow-minded that they can think of submerging Delhi to save themselves, adding that the people of his state are compassionate enough even willing to sacrifice their own lives to save others.
SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra said, "The state's SDRF i.e. State Disaster Response Force is leading on every front on the lines of a skilled guard. Due to the heavy rains in the state in the last few days, the general public is facing many difficult situations. Somewhere people are trapped
"It rained heavily on July 8-9...The rain that happens in the mountains comes down to the plains, and as a result, many of our tracks got submerged. So as a precautionary measure, we had to stop the train service,” said General Manager of Northern Railways Shobhan Chaudhuri.
The Opposition Leader said, “This rainfall has caused massive devastation. The entire state has suffered significant damage due to the floods. Many houses and shops have been completely submerged in various places. Even now, several areas of the state are entirely cut off. Roads and bridges
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), nearly 37,700 people were affected in Nowboicha revenue circle area of the district and 22,510 people in Bihpuria revenue circle.
The flood situation in the Dhemaji district of Assam has become grim as nearly 18,000 people have been affected by the current wave of flood. 48 villages under four revenue circles of the district have been inundated by flood waters and submerged 530.07 hectares of cropland.
The announcement comes nearly a week after authorities determined the Titanic-bound vessel had imploded in the North Atlantic, killing all five men aboard.
