Bangladesh interim government on Wednesday banned Bangladesh Chatra League, the student organization of former PM Sheikh Hasina's party Awami League, after a demand by a student group that led the July-August uprising.
The decision regarding the appointment of Bangladesh's interim government head was made during the meeting between President Shahabuddin and the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have proposed an interim government led by Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus, in a bid to address Bangladesh's ongoing challenges.
