The port city of Pakistan, Karachi now faces a severe problem of increasing street crime. Recent incidents have resulted in the creation of a sense of lawlessness amongst the people, a report by The Express Tribune stated.
The report further revealed that 18 people, including a policeman and a woman, lost their lives in February, while, 12 people were killed in January, according to ARY News.
The residents of Karachi have been becoming victims of outlaws, with 26 people, murdered by street criminals since the beginning of 2024, as reported by The News International.
While resisting robbery, a father and son were critically wounded, following which the son succumbed to his injuries in Karachi's Surjani Town, ARY News reported on Friday, citing police sources. This comes amid a rise in street crimes in Karachi in recent days.
