In the aftermath of Tuesday's terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 innocent lives, the Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday issued a statement to all tourism-related service providers requesting to offer assistance to affected tourists stranded in the Union Territory
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday met the stranded tourists of Maharashtra in a camp near Srinagar Airport and reassured them that all necessary assistance would be provided to ensure their quick return to Mumbai.
The Jammu railway authorities, in coordination with ticket checking staff, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Government Railway Police (GRP), have been facilitating the safe return of stranded tourists following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

Due to recent heavy rain and landslides in Sikkim, many tourists from West Bengal have been stranded in Sikkim. In order to assist the stranded tourists, a Tourist Facilitation Help Desk has been opened at Rangpo, an order by the Office of the District Magistrate of Kalimpong said.

Chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu on Saturday congratulated Border Roads Organization for rescuing 70 stranded tourists at Sela Pass in Tawang.
"Troops of Trishakti Corps braving sub-zero temperatures rushed to rescue and assisted the stranded tourists. Prompt Medicare, hot refreshments, meals and safe transportation were rendered in a timely to assist the tourists reach safety," said the army.
