Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin chaired a high-level review meeting at the auditorium of the Government Medical College Hospital on Sunday in the wake of the stampede incident during actor Vijay's public rally in Karur.
The massive crowd at Vijay's rally in Karur on Saturday reportedly turned chaotic, triggering panic. Several attendees fainted and were rushed to nearby hospitals. Sources had said that overcrowding at the venue led to the tragedy.
