Two people have been apprehended by Delhi Police in connection with the incident where a student was stabbed to death in Delhi University's South Campus on Sunday, police said.
Three people, including a minor, have been arrested for stabbing two people in the Khadda Colony area. The arrested accused have been identified as Anas and Saqib. During interrogation, the accused told that they had a fight (with the injured) over gilli-danda on June 1: Delhi Police
The man who was detained in connection with stabbing six people to death in the French alpine town of Annecy has been charged with "attempted murder" on Saturday, Al Jazeera reported citing the prosecutor.
"The motive behind the murder is the personal enmity between the accused and the deceased regarding a year-old feud. The deceased had also threatened them with dire consequences," Delhi police said.
An Indian-origin woman who was contemplating divorce from her husband was tragically stabbed in Canada's Brampton on Friday, reported CBC News, quoting her brother as saying. She was stabbed after agreeing to meet her estranged spouse at a nearby park.
Another man has sustained injuries but his condition remains unknown, as he is very close to the building, where the suspect was spotted, and has yet to be rescued.
The accused has been identified as B. Chandra Mohan (48).
Police said that the accused Chandra Mohan had killed the deceased Anuradha Reddy by stabbing her and later cutting her body into some pieces for disposal.
The Commission further said that the Commission's two-member inquiry committee headed by Chairperson Rekha Sharma will be visiting the state on May 25 for a thorough inquiry to address these concerns.
Delhi police have caught six people including three minors in connection to the murder of a 40-year-old in Delhi's Swaroop Nagar area on May 13, officials said on Sunday.
Police conducted raids at the hideouts of the accused persons and made three arrests. The weapon of offence used in the commission of the crime by the accused Sumit was recovered, police said.
