As many as three members of a family died while eight others were injured in a massive road accident in the early hours of Monday on a National Highway in Rajasthan's Ajmer, police said on Monday.
Owing to the problems caused due to snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath and the rains in the low-lying areas, the late-night Chardham Yatris are being stopped by Srinagar Police in Srinagar itself.
"Two cross-border narco smugglers have been arrested by Srinagar Police. The police have seized 11.08 Kg Heroin, worth Rs 70 crore in the international market and a total cash amount of Rs 11,82,500 from their possession", said, AGDP Kumar.
A blast occurred in a private car in Srinagar on Sunday at Boulevard road which triggered panic among people nearby, said police. However, nobody was injured, police said.
Srinagar Police on Monday appealed to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir to not give shelter to terrorists or stringent actions ranging from property seizure to arrest will take place.
