Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar on Thursday met with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is on a two-day official visit to India, and expressed confidence that his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday arrived in Delhi on a two-day official visit to India. Union Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs V Muraleedharan welcomed Wickremesinghe at the airport.

China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong invited Sri Lankan President, Ranil Wickremesinghe, to China for a conference on China's Belt and Road initiative. Wickremesinghe might be trying to go to China to discuss debt restructuring.
