Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Spanish President Pedro Sanchez on Monday in the Durbar Hall of the famous Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, following the inauguration of the Tata-Airbus C-295 aircraft assembly facility.
The facility is built at the TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus. A total of 56 aircraft are there under the C-295 programme, of which 16 are being delivered directly by Airbus from Spain and the remaining 40 are to be made in India.
The Spanish President will be inaugurating the Final Assembly Line Plant of C295 aircraft at Vadodara, a flagship "Make in India" initiative in the aviation sector, along with PM Modi.
Spanish President Pedro Sanchez will be on a three-day visit to India from October 27 during which he will hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Spanish President Pedro Sanchez, accompanied by his spouse Begona Gomez, will pay an official visit to India from October 27 to 29 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement on Wednesday.
