Wearable gadgets that vibrate to provide orientation cues, however, have been identified by scientists to significantly improve the efficacy of this training, making spaceflight marginally safer.
The sky is no longer the limit - but flying is risky. We lose many of the clues we need to orient ourselves when we leave the Earth's surface, and this spatial disorientation can be fatal. Astronauts typically require extensive training to protect themselves against it. However, scientists h
Hours after the Indian Space Research Organisation carried out successful 'TV-D1' (Test Vehicle Development Flight 1) in the Gaganyaan Mission, astronomer Dr RC Kapoor on Saturday said that the experiment went perfectly well and it exactly followed the design trajectory.
Gaganyaan project envisages a demonstration of human spaceflight capability by launching a crew of 3 members to an orbit of 400 km for a 3-day mission and bringing them back safely to earth, by landing in Indian sea waters.
"Sun is the most mysterious object we know. We are all dependent directly or indirectly on the Sun. Mission to Sun is the most challenging thing. India is now in the race of space missions, and this mission will be a turning point in the study of the Sun," said Shanti Priya.
