After a historic soft landing by the Chandrayaan-3 on the southern polar region of the Moon, the Indian diaspora at Times Square in New York, US was seen celebrating the moment.
As India entered an elite club of nations with its successful lunar landing mission on Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu posted a congratulatory message for the ISRO scientists involved with the Chandrayaan-3 project.
“Congratulations to ISRO and all of the people of India. This is a victory not only for India but for the entire world as we go into this new era of lunar development and India is leading the way,” Gold said on Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing on the Moon.
After the success of Chandrayaan-3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday dialled Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman S Somanath from South Africa's Johannesburg to congratulate him and said he would soon visit them in Bengaluru to greet the entire team in person.
