A Pakistani army major and soldier, on Sunday night, were killed in an exchange of fire with people, whom the official termed "terrorists," in Balochistan's Kech district.
One Border Security Force (BSF) jawan has been killed and six others were injured when a BSF vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in the Mankote sector of Poonch district on Sunday, said BSF.
The military's media wing added, "However, during an intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Irshad Ullah, age 29 years, resident of District Karak, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat."
The Army paid rich tributes to late Sepoy Pawan Kumar who made the supreme sacrifice while performing an operational task in Potgampora, Pulwama on February 27, an official statement said.
According to Dawn citing a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the troops "effectively engage[d]" the terrorists' location and an "intense fire exchange" took place during which 25-year-old Sepoy Muhammad Waseem, a resident of Khairpur, fought "gallantly" and was killed.
The clash erupted over the construction of a road in Pakistani territory by the Afghan Taliban. The land was owned by the residents of Khurlachi and Borki, which fall on the other side of the border fence, near Afghanistan's Paktia province.
