Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 is a powerful display of the capabilities and power of new India.
As Chandrayaan-3 achieved a soft landing on the South Pole of the moon, making India the first country to reach that particular area, former ISRO chief K Sivan on Wednesday said that it is sweet news, which was been waited for the last four years.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Administrator Bill Nelson on Wednesday congratulated India and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.
“While the world fantasises about the moon, we have actually felt the moon...the world dreams of the moon, and we have seen the dream getting converted into reality…sky is not the limit,” Singh said.
As Chandrayaan-3 landed successfully on the South Pole of the moon, making India the first country to reach that particular area, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday dialled the ISRO chief S Somnath, congratulating him and his team on this historic feat.
The Embassy of India in Washington, D.C. held a special screening of the Chandrayaan-3 as it successfully performed the soft landing on the moon today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hailed the Chandrayaan-3 mission creating history by achieving soft-landing on the lunar surface and said “India is now on the moon”.
"India is on the moon!" Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently attending the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg said. He watched the live telecast and as soon as the touchdown happened he sported a big smile and waved the tricolour.
Chandrayaan-3 mission’s soft-landing on the moon is being telecast live on the ISRO website with students across the country watching Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS) and history being made.
