Foiling a smuggling attempt, the Border Security Force (BSF) troops from Border Outpost Betai, 84 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, rescued rare species of birds being smuggled from Bangladesh to India.
According to the general secretary of the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, Muhammad Zafar Paracha, traders, and smugglers are bringing as much as USD 5 million across the border daily.
"The arrested drug smuggler was en route to deliver drug consignment after retrieving from the border area," Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab Gaurav Yadav said.
