In a joint operation, police and Assam Rifles seized 126 grams of brown sugar and apprehended a drug peddler in Assam's Cachar district, officials said.
According to the Airport Commisionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III, gold was concealed in dry iron, frame of check-in bag, clothes worn, on the body of the pax, body cavity, check-in and cabin bag.
"We caught a person and recovered 30 soap boxes and four leather bags containing heroin weighing 4.765 kg from his possession. The market value of the seized drugs is estimated at around Rs 24 crore," ASP Subrata Sen said.
