A massive fire broke out early Thursday in a plastic and polythene warehouse near the Kapashera Rajokri border in the national capital, which also affected nearby slum areas.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed DUISIB to conduct a survey in slum areas to identify families still using traditional stoves and hearths, so that clean fuel can be provided to them under the Ujjwala Yojana, according to the Delhi CMO.
According to fire officer SK Dua, the fire was declared to be of Medium category considering its intensity and a total of 29 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
