A team of Rat miners arrived here in Nagarkurnool on Monday for the ongoing rescue operation for the Srisailam Left Bank Canal collapse (SLBC), where eight workers are said to be trapped.
BJP leader Reddy expressed his disappointment over the recurring nature of such incidents. He criticised the state government for not taking adequate precautions and called for better safety measures and a comprehensive disaster management plan to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Santhosh said that the primary focus remained on rescuing the workers who were trapped, noting that while the teams had been unable to reach the last 40 meters yesterday, necessary measures are now being taken to ensure their safe retrieval.
