Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said the processes for recovering money for depositors post bank loan write-offs are "layered", while noting that small depositors are put to "extreme difficulty" in the process of justice delivery.
The Appropriation Bill gives power to the government to withdraw funds from the Consolidated Fund of India for meeting the expenditure during the financial year.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama will move both the Bills in the afternoon. These Bills will be moved to the Upper House for consideration and return to the Lok Sabha where these have already been passed.
