Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for 2023-24 with a digital device instead of the traditional 'bahi-khata' in her hands.
This year's Budget presentation holds significance as it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government's last full budget before the next parliamentary elections in 2024, slated for April-May 2024.
"Congress-ruled states Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh have restored the OPS and there is a demand to restore OPS is also being raised in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and some other states," he added.
This year's Budget presentation holds significance as it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government's last full budget before the next parliamentary elections, slated for April-May 2024. Like the previous two Union Budgets, Union Budget 2023-24 will also be delivered in paperless form.<
