The Delhi Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, on Tuesday approved a series of major decisions aimed at strengthening the capital's fight against pollution and improving environmental governance, according to a press release.
A total of 2,734,817 have been deleted from the rolls. Out of the total, 6,42,234 were found to be dead, 19,13,540 were marked shifted or absent (from their residence), and 1,79,043 were already enrolled at multiple places.
Over 24.08 lakh electors were deleted from the voter lists in Kerala as the Election Commission of India (ECI) published the draft electoral roll on Tuesday after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in the state.
The electors have been included in the draft SIR list released on Tuesday, and they will receive notices to present their relevant documents to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant EROs who will determine the voter's claim of being included in the list.
