After the launch of "Shakti Yojana", a government scheme of free bus travel for women across Karnataka, many women said that they could use the savings arising out of availing of the scheme in a better way.
"Shakti scheme is a program for women. Women, who make up half of society, have been exploited for centuries. Minorities and women are deprived of opportunities and literacy," said Siddaramaiah.
