A 55-year-old Delhi police official, Anil Sisodiya died after he allegedly shot himself at his residence in South-East Delhi, said the police on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu DGP Shankar Jiwal, IG South Zone Asra Garg, and other police officials paid their last respects to the mortal remains of Coimbatore Range DIG Vijayakumar, who allegedly shot himself to death at his camp office in Coimbatore on Friday.
Man killed his five relatives with a sharp weapon while they were sleeping and later shot himself. The incident occurred between 4.30 am and 5 am early in the morning in Gokulpur Arsara village in Mainpuri district.
According to the official, the deceased personnel shot himself with his own service rifle.
His body has been transferred to a nearby hospital for autopsy.
The deceased identified as Sudhir Kumar, a resident of Sadh Nagar in the Palam area and a native of the village Nangla Badi in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, shot himself just after two months after his retirement.
An on-duty police constable was declared dead by the hospital after he shot himself outside the Byculla jail in Mumbai, informed the police on Thursday night.
"A constable of CRPF's 195th battalion identified as Gunin Das allegedly shot himself with his assault service rifle last night (Saturday)," said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) R K Barman.
According to the police, sub-inspector Indrajit Singh shot himself with his service revolver on Wednesday night. The reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, police said. The deceased was posted in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur.
